We dig a pit, install a dry well chamber or build a gravel reservoir wrapped in filter fabric, and pipe your runoff into it. The well holds a burst of storm water and lets it drain into the surrounding soil over time. In Southwest Florida the water table can rise close to the surface in the rainy season, which limits how much a dry well can absorb. That’s why we check your soil and groundwater before recommending one, and tell you honestly if another outlet will work better.
It depends on your soil and how high the water table gets in summer. We check both during your free estimate. If a dry well isn’t the best fit, we’ll recommend a different outlet.
Size depends on how much roof and yard area drains into it. We size it for your property rather than using one standard unit.
Yes. The dry well sits underground and is covered with sod, mulch or rock. Some include a small inspection cap at the surface.
